Go to location in downtown LA

The Bonaventure is my preferred hotel location each time I am in downtown whether it's for business or pleasure. I find the experience at this location to be consistently good, the breakfast buffet is excellent (still not sure how the cook the bacon to perfection EVERY time), the rooms always in good condition and the staff always friendly/helpful.
I find myself at this location multiple times per year and whether I reach out before my stay or engage with the front desk staff upon arrival I am nearly always upgraded to excellent rooms. If you are fortunate enough to engage with the Front Desk Manager Yi consider yourself lucky - he really knows how to make a guest feel valued.
The only downside to this property is the $47/day for valet parking - I know it's downtown LA but seriously this is pretty pricey given you are already staying at the property.
Yes, I recommend this hotel.

Simply put my recent stay at the W Taipei could not have been better. Prior to my arrival the W Insider reached out to see if I had any special requests. It so happens that the same day he sent his email I had actually sent a note to the property and got connected with Chris and Debbie both of which I maintained contact with before and after my stay. During my stay I received a very warm W greeting from Biby at the Welcome Desk who recognized the fact I had just come in from a long journey from San Francisco. The room I was upgraded to (Marvelous Suite) not only recognized my platinum status but was HUGE (you could live there) but had wonderful views and some of the best beds I have ever slept in - the mattress and sheets were amazing. We had martinis sent up as our welcome ammenity which is perfect for me and my partner but also the first time any property has sent up something like this. Throughout the stay the entire staff couldn't have been nicer - from those in the bar to those who staff the desk as you come in from outside who helped ensure we had umbrellas on a day where rain was forecasted. After our stay I realized we had left a charger at the property which the hotel not only found but promptly sent on to the hotel where we were staying at in Taiwan. Evelyn assisted with ensuring we received the charger including following up with FedEx when it wasn't delivered at the originally scheduled time. If you are going to Taipei stay HERE. The staff is fantastic, the rooms still feel fresh, the location is perfect (central and literally beside TPE 101) and Iwould say this is one of the best W's I have stayed at particularly in a major city.
Yes, I recommend this hotel.

Savor the French Quarter’s charms. Lounge in the outdoor courtyard’s Living Room or by the fountain and illuminated outdoor pool.

This was my second stay at this property. I had requested an early check in which they were not able to approve through the Your24 program due to being 100% committed the night before. Even still I was able to secure my room by 1030a which made life easier since I had morning calls. The room itself was clean, spacious and had a large patio that looked down onto the bustling street below. The staff at the property is consistently nice and does whatever they can to be helpful.
The only drawback as I see it is the fact it's located near the middle of the French Quarter which translates to a fair amount of outside noise so you will not be able to sleep with your windows open. Also the doors on the rooms can be loud when they close and people tend to return a bit "animated" after a night out so if you are light sleeper it's best to bring ear plugs.
Overall I definitely recommend this property and will be back again during my next trip to New Orleans.
Yes, I recommend this hotel.

The property itself is unique as it used to be a winery. The rooms are incredibly spacious, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the food at their restaurant is highly recommended for dinner.
The only issue I had was the location isn't within walking distance to much of anything and I would have liked to be closer to the water but obviously these aren't things the hotel can control.
The bed wasn't as comfortable as other properties but we're better than most European properties.
Yes, I recommend this hotel.

I have stayed at this property a few times when going to Disneyland and have consistently had a good experience. The platinum upgrade to a higher floor with a view of Disneyland is a unique and lovely view. The staff is always nice, parking is very reasonably priced and the recent remodel of the lobby has improved the feel of the property.
The rooms themselves are spacious and have a standard Sheraton feel. It would be nice to see the bathrooms spruced up as they're a bit dated but all in all its a solid and above average Sheraton property.
Yes, I recommend this hotel.

The property is located literally in the middle of Times Square making it an excellent choice if you're looking to see shows on Broadway. Given its location it can be very crowded once you step outside but it also offers convenient access to multiple subway lines which is great.
The property is 57 stories so if you can score a room on a high floor it not only reduces noise from below but you have some excellent views of the city. They are fully remodeling the lobby and bar area which is good as frankly it needed it.
I find the hotel to always be busy but the staff is consistently kind and I stay at this property for a few days nearly every month.
Yes, I recommend this hotel.

This hotel is simply fantastic. The suite night upgrades to oceanfront rooms are literally steps from the sea and you get to fall asleep to the sound of the crashing waves.
The staff are amazing and have been everytime I've stayed at this property which is at least 5 times. Adria was the manager who was engaged before and during my stay ensuring that every detail was attended to and surprising me with extras. Kristi was the concierge who reached out before and during our stay - very sweet and helped us with planning details to ensure we enjoyed our stay.
This is one of the best Sheraton properties I have ever stayed at and I actually prefer it over the St Regis on the island.
Yes, I recommend this hotel.

Hotel itself is great, avoid the rooftop bar

The hotel itself is perfectly located in the center of DC just steps from the White House. The property is a historic building and the rooms are typical W - modern, comfortable and nice.
The rooftop bar experience is what will lead me never to stay at this property again - yes it was that bad. I went up to the bar at 4p on a Friday for a drink. While sitting at one of the tables the bar host came by and dropped a reserved sign on the table. A few minutes later she came by to inform me the table was reserved and that I needed to go to the host stand if I wished to remain at a table. I reminded her I was at the table already when she dropped the sign and the fact I was a guest in the hotel. I didn't mention my SPG Platinum 75 status as it shouldn't matter - I was a guest and I shouldn't be told to leave a table that was not reserved when I sat down. I abided by her request and they sat me at a different table directly in the blazing sun when it was 90 degrees - not exactly a good experience. I went to speak with the front desk manager who was apologetic but I can honestly say this was the worst experience I have ever had at a Starwood property. The bar hosts had such attitude and exhibited zero interest in guests - that's fine as I won't be seeing them again as I will stay elsewhere when I am back in the capital.
No, I do not recommend this hotel.
